I couldn't be more excited right now about the Virtual Season. We have all 22 episodes lined up and assigned to writers! They are working on them as I type, and I am working on the checklists for each episode. We're not assigning official outlines because we feel that constricts the writers too much, it limits what they might have as a vision. But as we need certain things to occur in each episode in order to move the story along, we are giving out checklists so the writers can fit in those specific instances. Everyone seems really excited about the season, which makes me even happier. Our website is coming along in the very early stages. We have the very talented Paranormalfan, Samwinchester (LadyVamp), SexiNikki, and TooBright88 as our video makers. We have x_ekibyougami_x heading up our graphic novel department as we will have bits to go with certain episodes that are taken from Henry's drawing table. We have an awesome season ahead of us, and I can't wait to share it! I wish we could fast forward to the point of being ready to "air" the first episode!! WiliQueen is writing our premiere, and from what I have seen it is going to be kickass!

Merry Christmas to all! Once the holidays are behind us, the Virtual Season of Blood Ties will be swinging back into full gear. We've just about got the season mapped out, narrowing down all of the wonderful ideas to 22 awesome episodes. You guys are in for a treat once we get everything out there! The fan in me is excited to read all of the episodes! I am amazed at all of the talent that has come together to create the new season. I have no doubt what so ever that the Blood Ties fans will be happy with the final product. We're still working on stories, getting ready to assign episodes to the writers, and are currently working with some very talented people on our website, including the creator of the Blood Ties fanfiction site Twice Bitten. Nothing is solid yet, but we are working on it so that we will have something ready for you guys once the episodes are written, posters are made by our fantastic artists, and music videos are made (paranormalfan, who is extremely gifted at video making, as just joined up with us). We are also adding comics to the mix, that will be done under the assumption that Henry is penning them. They will delve into his back story a bit more and give us some history on just what he has been through in his 488 years.

All I am going to say story-wise, is now that we know from Deep Dark that Astaroth is out and about in Toronto, you better believe he has a plan! Vicki, Mike, Henry, and Coreen are in for some real roller coaster rides because of it and as a result of choices made in Deep Dark. Stay tuned!!

Some of the fans from all over are getting together to create a virtual Season 2 for our beloved show to hold us over until we get the real deal. This is a great creative outlet for the fans and a great way to keep the show alive for us all while we wait for news and hopefully more episodes.

I am really excited about this and how well it is going. We have only had our forum up for 3 days now and already we have over 300 posts and 21 members helping to put the episodes together. Make no mistake, this is not housewife porn or a way for fans to get their fantasies out there. We are approaching this as though we were the writers for the show. We are creating story arcs, character arcs, planning and mapping the season and episodes, going into in depth discussions about the characters pasts and futures...the insight and talent these people have never ceases to amaze me. I can't wait to see our final product of 22 episodes!

Here's how we are working it: After all the planning and discussions, episodes will be written, then edited for story, characters, and grammar and the like. We want to make sure everything is on point and the final product is in top notch shape for everyone to read. We will have fanart accompanying each episode description, most likely in the form of a poster or advertisement. This should stand as a preview for the next week's episode if all goes well. Hopefully we will have music videos to accompany some of the episodes, maybe even an opening song with video and credits, but unfortunately no one has volunteered for that as of yet. I'll do some myself if I have to though. :) We haven't designated an area to "air" the episodes yet, but we will! Each week a new one with it's accompanying media will be posted, along with a preview for next week's episode (most likely fanart with the episode description). The goal for the season is 22 episodes right now, but that could change dependent upon how much material we have to use.

We are going hardcore into this, and we've got a great team on it! I'll update my journal with a link to where the episodes will be aired once they are ready, but if you would like to join the Virtual Season team, it is not too late. The link to our private forums (no readers allowed, we have a strict policy and violators will be banned-sorry guys) is here. Feel free to come join in on the fun!

He could smell her death long before his gaze fell upon her body in the midst of the rubble and smoke. He had raced there as soon as he got her message, but he was too late, as he always feared he would one day be.

Coreen browsed through books as she waited on Dr. Sagara to arrive. To her chagrin, nothing looked remotely interesting to her, and she found herself very quickly bored. She tossed the book aside and plopped down on the couch, picking up the entertainment magazine they lay on the stand next to her.

After a few moments, Dr. Sagara finally arrived, struggling with a mound of new books from her private collection at home in her arms. "Coreen, dear, could you give me a hand with these? I think I might have found our culprit."

Coreen jumped to her feet and removed some of the books from Dr. Sagara's arms, who was now giving her a puzzling look.

"What?"

"Nothing...nothing," Dr. Sagara immediately answered. "It's just...well, you've certainly changed since the last time I saw you," she noted as she looked Coreen up and down.

Coreen had no luck the previous night at Dr. Sagara's office trying to find a mystical cause for blindness, and she and Vicki were having even less luck of it today.

"Maybe it's not about the blindness. Maybe there's something more to it," Vicki thought aloud.

"What do you mean? Like a vengeance spell?"

"No, not like a spell. Henry said he would have sensed any magic going on."

"He's been wrong before, though."

Hours later, Henry remained at his post by the window, staring into the night of the city as if it held the answers. Vicki sat comfortably, and a great deal more calm, on her usual spot on his leather sofa. Coreen paced the floor nervously, flipping through another book for what seemed like the millionth time.

"It very well could be magic," Henry concurred to Coreen's suggestion. "But I didn't sense anything near the apartment tonight."

"Maybe last night then," Coreen offered as she closed the book. "While you were out and about."

"What? Like a drive by cursing?" Vicki asked.

Synopsis:
All around town, people are falling victim to their worst nightmares. Is it a demon? Is it magic? Can the team figure out what's going on before more people die? And most importantly, is our favorite vampire immune from nightmares just because he doesn't dream?

Spoiler Alert:
This episode takes place after Drawn and Quartered and having seen spoilers for Wrapped, so if you don't want to be spoiled, then go catch up on the show before reading! They aren't huge spoilers, but it's enough I think.

Disclaimer:
This is a fanfiction I wrote for the Lifetime Television Series Blood Ties, based on the books by Tanya Huff. I in no way, shape, or form own Blood Ties or the Blood Books, or any rights to it. No infringement is intended. This story is for entertainment purposes only, unless you happen to work on Blood Ties and happen to want to pay me to turn it into an episode for the show. *grin*

Now, this is the first time I've written a fanfiction, and this is the first and only draft of it. I've tried to make some spelling corrections and such, but that's about as far as the editing goes. So when you are reading it, feedback is welcome, but please keep in mind this is a very very rough draft, basically made for story purposes only. And I sort of lost my mojo at the end, so apologies in advanced. :)

There is some language and sexual innuendos, so take note before you read.

That being said, end disclaimer, and hopefully enjoy. :)

Blood Ties-The Things of Nightmares

Vicki felt like skipping all the way back to the office, but her poor night vision as well as Henry's presence kept her restrained. They had finally done it. After two months of following around Mr. Harold Ferense, they finally had enough evidence to turn over to dear Mrs. Harold Ferense. No doubt his infidelity would allow for his wife to clear him out, and Vicki knew that this meant a huge paycheck for her.

"So what now?" Henry asked as she walked giddily along.

"Now we head back to the office, put away all this fancy equipment Mr. Ferense has been hogging, and relax."

Henry raised an eyebrow. "You could use a little relaxation. And luckily, I am just the gentlemen to help you along your way."
